Education for Children

What education is needed for vulnerable children in the world?

Every child has the right to an education. Education transforms lives and breaks the cycle of poverty that traps so many children. But around the world, 59 million primary school children are not in the classroom, and the number is growing. So many children are not in school because of poverty, conflicts and wars, disasters, gender inequality, and so on. On September 25th, 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. It means world leaders are committed to ending poverty in all its forms and dimensions, including ensuring inclusive and quality education for all and promoting lifelong learning (Goal #4). Obtaining a quality education is the foundation to improving people's lives and sustainable development. So, let us put our heads together at RSGF2017 and share our ideas about "What education is needed for vulnerable children in the world?" For this forum, we are focusing on "education for children who are living under certain severe conditions" and we have set up 5 problems which children are suffering from in our current world. Please choose one out of the 5 following topics below and focus on it in making your posters and discussions during the forum.
